My Story

I began my professional life as a Design and Technology Teacher but always harboured a love of architecture and Design of interior spaces.

This passion was further ignited when I renovated my own home and in the process created a functional and inviting space that my family fell in love with.

​

I then went on to complete a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration and establish my business. These days Sharon Wilson Designs is a busy boutique Interior Design business working predominantly in Residential Design within Melbourne and surrounding areas.

My Approach

I feel an interior space should be timeless and practical, as well as reflecting the personality of those who regularly use it. But it should also have elements of fun, elegance and simplicity.

​

Like a well-designed garden, maintenance should be minimal, but the function and beauty of each room should deliver a feeling of warmth, comfort and happiness.

​

I consider it a privilege to be welcomed into someone’s home and my goal as a designer is to create a space that reflects your personality and sense of style.

I want to create an environment that allows you to function efficiently and in a way that best suits your lifestyle, whatever that may be.
